Our Story
1970s - "The Beginnings"
COSMET was founded in the mid-1970s in Vigano di Gaggiano, in the southwestern province of Milan.
The main activity carried out by the company was initially related to the production of metal shelving for home and small warehouses.
1990s - "The diversification of production."
Over time, thanks to the expansion and diversification of production, Cosmet has become more and more specialized in offering and proposing solutions to meet any storage need, managing to implement solutions starting from the home shelf, up to the realization of complete turnkey warehouse systems.
Continuous growth, has thus necessitated a considerable increase in the production capacity of the plant, which covers an area of about 20,000 m2, equipped with the most modern production equipment.
2000 - MARKET POSITIONING AS A LEADER
Over these years Cosmet has managed to consolidate its position among the leading companies in the sector and to develop and offer a service aimed at satisfying not only shelving needs, but also integrated solutions capable of solving specific storage requirements.
The offering was thus shifting toward the production of increasingly well thought-out and state-of-the-art solutions, aspects on which today the new Cosmet is basing much of its strategies and designs.
2016 - TIME FOR IMPROVEMENT
In fact, today, thanks to the acquisition of ownership by a group of entrepreneurs, Cosmet is entering a new phase of its life completely focused on innovation and new methodologies related to the world of industry 4.0, with the goal of creating a unique product on the market
Thanks to the historicity that characterizes Cosmet, and the complementary and diversified experience of the new ownership, the company has taken an approach capable of proposing more and more unique and customized solutions for our business partners.
Through a sales organization structured by an extensive network of dealers and a group of direct consultants operating in major Italian cities, we are able to cover the entire national territory.
2017 - CONSULTING AND DESIGN
Logistic Line engineering company for integrated projects joins the Cosmet galaxy
2018 - WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
Define, a WMS software company for an innovative offering, joins the Cosmet galaxy. After performing analyses on the warehouse, criteria for mapping and handling products are entered into the software, thus facilitating material handling operations
2019 - AUTOMATION
Automation is incorporated into the production stage, through the use of an anthropomorphic arm.
End of 2019 - TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE.
